Amazing spot !! Omar and Astrid are the most welcoming and their cabanas have the best view. They provided us many tips and activities to do nearby - such as temazcal, comedors and hikes. At night they also make a fire in your room, and it’s a special quiet spot. Until next time!
Everything about el Cielo was amazing. The hosts were helpful with everything there is to do in San Jose Del Pacifico, the cabin was incredibly comfortable with a beautiful view of the sunset and forest. We even ran out of water and the host Omar delivered fresh water to our room. Thank you for a magical stay.
Omar and Astrid are the best hosts and embody the meaning of hospitality. I started in their smaller cabin (which could easily fit 4 people), but they do have a larger cabin as well. Omar made sure to check on me even before I arrived to make sure I got in OK. He also helped me plan a few activities while in town which were all fantastic. When he says "don't worry", he really means it! The place is extremely clean, the coffee is local and delicious, he made sure I had plenty of water, he helped me start the fire in the fireplace (be aware that this is your only source of heat, but it was all I needed to be comfortable), and even when I noticed a small leak in the bathroom he fixed and cleaned everything. The area is beautiful, and staying here was absolutely the best decision. Can't wait to come back!
We had a great time at Camino al Cielo! The view is amazing, the rooms super cozy and comfortable and we particularly appreciated the host Omar's friendliness and willingness to recommend places and help us find out way around Jan Jose and San Mateo. Definitely recommend!
We had a short but lovely visit to the area. Our room was clean, comfortable but very small. A lot of the room was taken up by a kitchen which was not needed and not requested. It was a convenient location to a Temezcal, groceries, walk to the town and a few restaurants. It was close to the entrance of an easy 5.8 mile walk along the river. Our room had a very narrow balcony but the most exquisite location to see the sunset. Omar was an excellent host, always available for recommendations, to make reservations for dining or the TuTu. My only complaint was that the people renting below us was a mother with small children who talked non-stop from early in the morning until 9 pm. It took away the relaxing nature of the place so we didn't stay on the property. Our friends had a large cabin with large deck but they are building a cafeteria above their unit and they couldn't stay on the property either because of the construction noise. Ask Omar about construction and little kids before you book your stay.
Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The room was exactly what we needed: a fire place, a comfortable bed, nice shower and a deck overlooking the mountains. Fast WiFi was a bonus
After two difficult days, I arrived at the Cabanas Camino al Cielo. Omar and his wife welcomed me warmly and made sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. The cabin is beautiful, and the bed is very comfortable. I had a truly perfect experience
We stayed for two days in the magical cabins. It was comfortable and cozy, the view is breathtaking. Omar was a perfect host, helped us with everything we needed and gave us many tips about the area. Highly recommend. And for thouse who speek english his english is perfect:)
